Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

Sacred Steps ceremonies are crafted with deep care and intention, and we honour the time, energy, and preparation that goes into each offering. The following refund policy outlines what happens in the event of a cancellation:

🔹 Deposits

All deposits are applied toward your final balance and become non-refundable upon booking confirmation, unless cancelled during the 14-day grace period.

🔹 Grace Period

Clients may cancel the agreement for any reason within 14 days of signing the booking form without penalty. If no work has commenced, the deposit will be refunded in full. If work has already begun, a fair portion of the deposit may be retained to cover preparation time (as outlined in your Booking Terms).

🔹 Cancellation Refund Schedule

If you need to cancel your ceremony after the 14-day grace period, the following refund terms apply:

  • 6+ months before the ceremony: Deposit is forfeited

  • 3 to 6 months before the ceremony: 50% of the total fee payable

  • 1 to 2 months before the ceremony: 75% of the total fee payable

  • Less than 1 month before the ceremony: Full fee is payable

All cancellations must be made in writing by email or letter. Verbal cancellations cannot be accepted.

🔹 Extenuating  Circumstances

If unexpected circumstances (illness, weather, emergencies) arise that make attendance impossible, Sacred Steps will offer a fair and compassionate resolution. This may include refunding part of the balance or rescheduling where possible.

Land Acknowledgement – Unama’ki / Cape Breton

With deep respect and gratitude, Sacred Steps acknowledges that the land on which we live, gather,

and hold ceremony is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.

This land, known as Unama’ki, is one of the seven traditional districts of Mi’kma’ki,

the homeland of the Mi’kmaq Nation.

We honour the enduring spirit, culture, and teachings of the Mi’kmaq,

and recognize their sovereignty and sacred relationship to this land, water, and sky.

In all that we do, may we walk gently, listen deeply, and act with reverence—

for the ancestors, for the land, and for the generations to come.
